- Goodbye.
-
- I want to thank everyone
who has been a part of this little deal for the past fiftieth
of a century or so. I have decided to close down Rockzillaworld.
There will be no further updates of the site.
-
- Being "Rockzilla"
has been a big part of my life for a long time, and I am going
to miss that bastard! I've learned a lot from running this site--
some good, some bad. I've had a lot of help from a lot of people,
and I wish was could repay them for all they have done for me.
-
- The folks who have written
the hundreds of reviews posted here are some of the coolest people
on the planet. They have worked their butts off to tell you about
music that they felt you should hear about and you know what?
They did it because they cared.
-
- Thanks to all of the artists
who supported me and my hair-brained schemes. Jack Ingram, Max
Stalling, The Domino Kings, Brian Burns, Mark Manders, Davin
James, Houston Marchman, Cooder Graw, Tommy Alverson, Kevin Deal--
hell, there's too damned many to list! I especially want to thank
Jay Johnson for all of his work on our awards shows, and for
drinking scotch with me and talking with me about things neither
of us knew anything about until the bartender threw us out.
-
- Then there's my friend
Buddy Huffman. The Mad Rock & Roll Scientist and his band,
Macon Greyson, have never turned down a request for help. They
played our first event and they played our last event. I can't
tell you how fortunate I feel having these four guys as friends.
That alone makes the thousands of hours of work as "Rockzilla"
worth every minute.
-
- "Rockzilla has spoken"
for the last time.

The Americana Poetry Consortium
Poetry? Yeah, we got poetry. But be prepared. These ain't
exactly nursery rhymes we're talking about. We like to call it
"Poetry With Balls." Check out the newest member of
the APC, D.B.Cox, along with all of our other poets. Click here for The Americana

Writers Needed
We need folks to help us review the mountains of records we
seem to always have waiting. Previous writing experience is preferred.
There are also opportunities for folks who can cover concerts
for us. If you know music, and have at least some writing ability,
this is an excellent way to get started. For more information,
contact Mike Johnson at rockzilla-at-rockzilla.net New to Rockzillaworld?
Due to our somewhat disturbing tendency to never throw anything
away, we have over 700 reviews stored on the site, and add new
ones several times per week. To browse our latest reviews, go
to the New Reviews
page. To find articles about a specific artist, use the Site Search feature.
